PTC BAWLS BMX
Robert Perry
Robert Perry or also known as Bert (Not as in Bert and Ernie) for some.
First, I would like to thank the team for giving me the opportunity to
race with them. This is definitely an honor and privilege to be racing
with you. I will do my part in trying to win points for the team.
At first, this was for my boys only.
I wanted them to get into a good sport that I felt they could excel.
After being a sideline dad, I had to join the sport.
It was easy for me to say, "Just pop a wheelie and you can manual."
After buying my Redline cruiser, I realized it was not as easy as it looked.
After some time on my bike, I officially started BMX racing on Aug. 26, 2006
with my first local race at Peachtree City, GA in the 35-39 cruiser class.
It was a good race for me, because I did not fall and at my age,
that is a good thing.
Since my first local I have competed in the Spring National at Morristown
and a Regional held at William B. Davis.
Nationally I am ranked 72nd and I am somehow ranked seventh in the
southeast. (I need someone to help me figure out how that happened.)
My goals are simple:
1) Stay safe.
2) Be a positive influence on the younger children.
3) Have children ask me how they can better themselves and work with them.
4) Be a force to recon with at National events.
5) Go to the Grands and make it to my main.
6) Get a sponsor on my own. (I do not want to ride my children’s coat tails.)
